Since 2014, CARDO has worked with schools in remote communities and towns, identifying the most vulnerable children and supporting them through education, advocacy and girls' empowerment.
CARDO reported in May 2023 that it supports more than 1,000 primary school children each year and has worked with more than 50 schools, including in Kalangba, Gbendembu, Binkolo, Kabombeh, Makorombo, Makeni and Freetown. These are CARDO's own figures and have not been independently verified.
